I am pleased to showcase a sampling of my students artwork! All of them are enthusiastic, enjoy creating, and have their own ideas about their art. Some have been studying with me for many years, a few even going on to careers in art such as art therapy, graphic design and public art education. I enjoy watching them develop their talent, and have made many lasting friendships!
The emphasis of my instruction relies on strong knowledge of the basics. I have them start out with a simple still life drawing in pencil, demonstrating value and composition. From there we go on to explore charcoal, scratchboard, colored pencil, pastel, oil pastel, acrylic and watercolor. Some students have expressed an interest in calligraphy and mixed media as well. After they are exposed to these mediums, I encourage them to choose what they enjoy working with most, as well as a variety of subject matter. Individuality, imagination, and mainly enjoying the creative process, is the overall goal I like to see my students work toward.
If you are interseted in art lessons, please call or e-mail me for details and questions. My studio is located in Concord Township, an eastern suburb of Cleveland, Ohio. I hope you enjoy their works of art!
